Under our new leadership, “The Ridge” as it is warmly called by many its employees maintain a very skillful, caring and dedicated team. This care is further evident by and seen in the CEO’s enthusiastic involvement with the company’s ground zero staff responsible for passing medications - to her deep concern that we as employees should never settle with simply meeting but, surpassing the expectations of every patient under our care.
If I could give less than one star, I would! My daughter has been in and out of multiple facilities, and this is BY FAR the worst! I told the doctor on Wednesday that my daughter needed long term care. She agreed, and said she would put in a referral to insurance. Two days later, I get a phone call that they are discharging her the next day! ???!!! I told them that I did not feel that she would be safe at home, so they called DFCS on me for not picking her up. The administration at this place is a complete joke! I will reporting them, and I will keep reporting them until something is done!
I was admitted into this hospital and let me tell you this place is HORRIBLE! The nurses lost my contacts and they are all rude and have no care for your feelings whatsoever. The rooms are disgusting and mold is literally all over the rooms. The showers are so tiny you can barely move and the curtain to cover the door doesn't even cover the door at all. I didn't see all the mold until the last day when I was packing my stuff. They like to keep you there for an unnecessary amount of days even if your mental health is perfectly fine and the doctor says so. They like to lie and tell you some random day when your leaving even if you aren't leaving that day! I was admitted to St Mary's by my mother and they lied to my mom saying I would be alone for 24 hours and then my family could see me whenever they wanted. But NO! You aren't allowed to see your family AT ALL! My family is my biggest support and not being able to see them sucked and honestly made my anxiety and depression worse. My mom had to FORCE my caseworker to get me out of there because they wanted to keep me for an unnecessary amount of days. I would not wish this place on my worst enemy! Summit Ridge needs to be SHUT DOWN!
At first I was sad and did not want to be there at all. I was there for four days. And honestly it was great. I made so many friends and I love the staff. People that are saying bad things about the staff on here aren't 100% wrong but there are a LOT of staff that are loving and caring. Mrs Ingrid, Mrs Sonia, Dayvon, Michael and LC are amazing they have a special place in my heart and helped me through a lot. The more people you talk to and make friends with the better you feel. It's a wonderful place.
Our workers are some of the best in the industry, they are well qualified possessing degrees, licenses, experience and have been well-vetted. Most importantly, they love what they do. I see an elevated level of persistence everyday when our techs takes a little more time to help adolescents process the events of an intense family session; and when those employees got together and purchased clothing for several patients that had none more than what was on their backs. Then there was the time when an adult male got his situation under control, resumed working and reconnected with his family. After all, “This is what we do”. There is a plethora of other golden moments produced by “The Ridge” yet, we neither have the time nor space to discuss.
The nurses were always there for me when I needed them and some nurses even played with us in the gym! The food was great and we were allowed to have two drinks, and put chocolate milk in our cereal! We had a snack and drink between lunch and dinner and dinner and bed time. We watched movies in the group room and if we weren't interested we could draw and color. The game room had foosball and all the crafts were fun! The courtyard was well landscaped with tons of flowers and a shaded seating area. if we needed a nap we could sleep during free time, before breakfast, and if you're crazy in the gym. every bedroom has a window and a bathroom. below each window there was a vent you could open to let in fresh air. The staff always made sure you were comfortable. the beds were firm but that was fine with me cause I love firm beds
I normally don’t write reviews however, this one is quite well deserved. As an employee of Summit Ridge Hospital for about 1.5 years, I have seen the organization transition into a place I would happily bring family (if the need came about) and would comfortably recommend to friends, colleagues and even strangers. I can work just about anywhere but honestly, I am exactly where I desire and need to be.
Again, I can work just about anywhere but honestly, I am exactly where I need and desire to be; working right here at “The Ridge” with a team I know, I trust and look forward to seeing the next day. A team of individuals that rely on each other, understand customer service perfectly; believes and knows that the patients we serve is the “life blood” of our organization. The same team that has positively changed the lives of many thousands and is looking forward to helping that next person overcome the issues they face.
